The only Swiss in yesterday's Medal Races were Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI in the 49ers, defending their good 6th final rank. Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI finished the Worldcup event in rank 19 in the RS:X men windsurfers.
The other five classes sailed their last Qualifiaction Series races, but none of the engaged Swiss teams qualified for the ten-best.
Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI on rank 11 missed the qualification in the 470 women by a small margin only. Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI finished on the 20th place in the 470 men. Nils Theuninck SUI remained on the remarkable 16th place in his first Worldcup in the Finns. In the Lasers Radial, Maud Jayet SUI on the final rank 20 proved her class in one race only, where she finished as 2nd. Andrea Nordquist followed on rank 44 among the 68 participants. Not as expected was the performance of Eliot Merceron SUI in the Lasers Standard, but he concluded the regatta on the ranks 17 and 16 yesterday, moving up on rank 28 on the final day.
