The 420 World Championship 2018 was kicked off yesterday in Newport RI in the USA with two races sailed in a 10-13kn wind by the fleet split in three groups. Best of the Girls were Clara Olive/Solenza Mariani FRA with the ranks 2 and 3. Patricia Reino/Isabel Laiseca ESP and Lilot Ruat/Alice Chiappori FRA followed on the ranks 2 and 3.Solène Mariani/Maude Schmid SUI are on the 23rd place among the 52 teams.
In the Boys (Open) rankings, Alessandro Caldari/Federico Caldari ITA lead 2 points ahead of Luis Miguel Hernandez/Ignacio Balaguer ESP. On rank 3 follow Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL. Florian Geissbühler/Livio Erni SUI are on rank 24 among the 71 teams.
In the U17 rankings, two Spanish teams - Marina Garau/Blanca Cabot ESP and Jacopo Garcia/Antoni Ripoll ESP - are on top. Oliver Hurwitz/Ethan Froelich USA follow as 3rd. Malin Karlsson/Myrlin Tappolet SUI occupy rank 20 among the 42 teams.
