J/70 - Women's International Match Race Series - Ascona SUI - Final results

Yesterday, Round 4 of the Women's International Matchracing Circuit (WIM) was concluded on Lage Maggiore off Ascona SUI again in light winds.
During the Semi Finals, the wind was calming down and the Final could not be sailed. Based on the Round Robin results, Claire Leroy FRA, the last remaining skipper from the Olympic matchracing circuit, was declared winner. She confirmed btw her class leading 2-0 in the Semi Final against Trine Palludan FIN. In the second Semi Final, Laurane Mettraux SUI, skippering a Swiss boat with the Volvo racers Elodie-Jane Mettraux SUI, Nathalie Brugger SUI and Libby Greenhalgh GBR, as well as the 'Alinghi' Coraline Jonet SUI, defeated the World nbr 1 Pauline Courtois FRA, but the second match had to be abandoned, and the Swiss were ranked 2nd overall behind Claire Leroy FRA.
