IRC - RORC Easter Challenge 2019 - Cowes GBR - Day 1

Saturday, April 20, 2019
A light, shifty, and bracingly cold wind from the north, combined with a substantial tide made for challenging conditions on the opening day of the RORC Easter Challenge.
Racing yesterday was with the wind rarely getting above 6kn and the tide as a vital factor, ebbing throughout the afternoon at more than 2 knots (and due to increase with a 4.9m spring tide coming on Sunday).

Race 1 winners were:
- IRC-0 (9 boats): ‘Keronimo’ (Ker 40) of Lars + Brigitta Elfverson
- IRC-1 (20 boats): ‘Pegasus’ (Farr 30) of Malcom Wootton
- IRC-2 (10 boats): ‘Jacana’ (J-105) of Ross Farrow
- IRC-3 (12 boats): ‘Aguila’ (Quarter Ton) of Sam Laidlaw
