Laser Standard & Radial - Barcelona Master Championship - Barcelona ESP - Day 1, the Swiss

As a tune-up event to the Laser European Masters Championship at the Spanish Catalan Coast, the Barcelona Championship was initiated with two races.
In a good breeze around 20kn, Alan Davies GBR took the lead in the Standards (46 participants, 13 nations, 3 continents). The Olympia medalist José-Luis Doreste ESP and Thomas Müller GER are tied on rank 2. With José-Maria Van der Ploeg ESP on rank 4 follows another Olympic Champion (Barcelona 92, Finn). Leader in the Lasers Standard is Sean Craig IRL ahead of Ian Jones GBR and Freek De Miranda NED. François Claejis SUI follows on rank 18 among the 68 participants from 14 nations.
