ILCA 6 Womens World Championship 2024 Mar del Plata ARG
The ILCA 6 Women's World Championship begins on Thursday in Argentina with the Practice Race. In addition to medals, the midfield will also be competing for 7 more Olympic 2024 nation berths - the first 16 were awarded at the World's last year - an overview. At the start 105 participants from 48 nations and 5 continents! - the circle of favorites is large, in the rather rough conditions of the Rio de la Plata with currents, waves and sea breeze - see video of the Argentinian championship in November - the strong wind experts should have good chances: Olympic champion Anne-Marie Rindom DEN, Marit Bouwmeester NED, Emma Plasschaert BEL to name but a few. Title defender Maria Erdi HUN won her title last year in rather moderate conditions. And of course the reigning vice world champion Maud Jayet SUI ! And the U21 Vice Junior World Champion Anja Von Allmen SUI is also coping well in fresh winds. ----- The report.
