An up to 30kn wind prevailed yesterday in Marseille and only the classes scheduled for morning starts - the 470s, Lasers, Nacras 17 and 49ers - completed at least one race. The Kiteboarders however held their full program. The RS:X windsurfers, the Finns and the 49ersFX remained ashore.
In the 470 men, the winners were Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS reducing the backlog on the leading Xammar/Rodriguez ESP to one point.
In the 470 women, Afrodite Zegers/Lobke Berkhout NED finished first and are the new leaders ahead of Ai Kondo/Miho Yoshioka JPN new on 2nd. 9.
Only four 49ers terminated the 49er race as capsizes and equipment failures reduced the fleet. The winners of the day Alonso/Alonso ESP cut the gap on the leading Kevin Fischer/Yann Jauvin FRA to one point.
In the Lasers Radial, Andrulyte LTU moved up on top with a bullet, followed by Carolina Albano ITA on 2nd.
In the Lasers Standard, Adonis Bougiouris GRE was first. Ryan Lo SGP remains on top overall.
Bisarro/Maelle Frascari ITA replaced Billy Besson/Marie Riou FRA on rank one in the Nacra 17 winning both races of the day.
The Kiteboarders, completing the full 4-race program, were again dominated by Nico Parlier FRA extending the overall lead with three race wins.
