IMOCA Open 60, Class 40 - Transat CIC - New York USA - Day 9 - Victory for Yoann Richomme FRA

Yesterday evening, Yoann Richomme FRA reached the finish line with his Paprec-Arkéa as winner of the Transat. He needed 8 days 6 hours for the 3'300 miles, which corresponds to an average speed of 16,5kn (28 km/h). This is his second consecutive victory after ‘Retour à la base’ last December, and he seems well-prepared for the Vendée Globe - the report. Boris Herrmann GER (Malizia) advanced to the end and finished 2nd just 2 hours 19 minutes behind, he was also very satisfied - the report. Just less than 6 hours behind, Samantha Davis GBR (Initiatives Coeur) was 3rd and Charlie Dalin FRA (Macif) also reached the finish. Sailing in 7th place, Justine Mettraux SUI (Teamwork/Team Snef) was still 30 miles short this morning and will reach the finish before midday. Alan Roura SUI (Hublot) also sailed a good transat, who in 11th place is still just under 200 miles short of New York. There were no further races on Lake Geneva on Sunday. After the 3 races on Saturday, Daniel Cook/Théodore Denjoy CNV won the 29er with a one-point lead over Riccardo Crova/Kairi Rösti CNV. F50-Catamaran - Sail GP 2024 - Hamilton BER - Day 2 - Victory for Team Spain

With a perfect start (see video in the report), Team ESP with Diego Botin secured a start-to-finish victory in the final against the two dominators of the season Team NZL with Peter Burling NZL and Team AUS with Tom Slingsby AUS. Team Switzerland with Nathan Outteridge AUS moved up to 7th place thanks to a race win in the first race of the day. The rankings and the reports.

IMOCA Open 60, Class 40 - Transat CIC - New York USA - Day 8 - Arrival today

Leader Yoann Richomme FRA (Paprec-Arkéa) was still 156 miles short of the finish line in New York this morning. As expected, the conditions are flat, Boris Herrmann GER (Malizia) has closed the gap to 16 miles, the race is not yet decided. Samantha Davies GBR (Initiatives Coeur) is 50 miles behind in 3rd place, but is still benefiting from better conditions. Among the winners of the day was Justine Mettraux SUI (Teamwork/Team SNEF), who has moved up to 7th place, 97 miles behind. Alan Roura SUI is still 11th, Oliver Heer SUI has suffered a total failure of the on-board electronics (report) and has dropped to the very back of the fleet.  ILCA - Europacup 2024 - Punta Ala ITA - Final results On the final day of the ILCA European Cup in Punta Ala, which was exceptionally well attended with 553 participants from 19 nations, two more races were sailed in light winds of around 8 knots. In the ILCA 4, Clara Lorenzi ITA won ahead of Francesco Tesser ITA, winner of the U16 classification. Niklas Ambos SUI moved up to 17th place as one of the best of the day with places 3/4, Lars Keller SUI was 23rd of the 185 participants. Emma Mattivi ITA won the women's ILCA 6 with a 34-point lead over Vanessa Voutilainen FIN, Shana Burger SUI finished 17th out of the 59 participants. In the men's ILCA 6, Francesco Luzi ITA ousted the previous leader Ulysse Raison SUI, who won the U17 classification, with two race wins. Matthew Chassot SUI moved up to 7th place, while Lars Dittel SUI finished 36th out of the 185 participants. In the ILCA 7, Théo Peyre FRA came out on top, with Cesare Barabino ITA 2nd 3 points behind him. The best of the 3 Swiss was Timo Van Roomen SUI in 55th place out of 73 participants.  Nacra 15 - European Championship 2024 - Cagliari ITA - Final results The European Championship for Nacra 15 catamarans was decided in 13 races last week in Sardinia. Gabriel and Nora Garcia ESP secured the title with a narrow one-point lead over Matteo Leclerq/Matthieu Pinsart BEL. There were good conditions at the start of the Sail GP in Bermuda. Tom Slingsby and his Team Australia dominated the day with 1/1/3. Team Canada with Phil Robertson NZL follows in 2nd place, one point behind them Nicolai Sehested DEN (Rockwool) and Peter Burling (Team New Zealand) share 3rd place. Yoann Richomme FRA (Paprec-Arkéa) was still 380 miles short of the finish line in New York this morning. He should arrive tomorrow morning despite the dying winds. Boris Herrmann GER has progressed to second place, 66 miles behind. Charlie Dalin FRA (Macif) is 16 miles behind in 3rd, and Samantha Davies GBR (Initiative Coeur) is another 8 miles back in 4th place.
