The Mini fleet is progressing well on its downwind ride in the trade winds. The fastest one was Simon Koster SUI covering 294 nm in 24 hours, only 10 nm below the Mini 650 class record. The leading boats will have rounded the most northern Cape Verdes island veering West to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
First in the Protos is still the favorite Ian Lipinski POL ahead of Simon Koster SUI new on rank 2 who reduced the backlog ton the leader to 20 nm with his speed race. Jörg Riechers GER on 3rd is already 55 nm back.
In the Series Minis, Tanguy Bouroullec FRA extended his lead on 23 nm. Erwan Le Draoulec FRA and Clarisse Crémer FRA hold their 2nd and 3rd position. Valentin Gautier SUI moved up one place but lost some miles and is now 87 nm behind the first. Yann Burkhalter SUI moved up on rank 20 with a 117 nm deficit.
