470, Nacra 17, iQ-Foil - Mallorca Sailing Center Regatta - El Arenal ESP - Day 1

Yesterday, in the run-up to the Olympic World Cup, the Sailing Centre Regatta began in El Arenal with 3 races. ----- With 28 teams, the 470 fleet is very competitive. Keiju Okada/Miho Yoshioka JPN took the lead, Nitai Hasson/Noa Lasry ISR follow 1 point behind, and the new world champions Jordi Xammar/Nora Brugman ESP are in 3rd place. Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI started the series furiously with two premature starts and are right at the end of the rankings. ----- The Nacra 17 completed 4 races, with Mateo Majdalani/Eugenia Bosco ARG and Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER tied on points at the top. Axel Grandjean/Noëmi Fehlmann SUI finished only one of the 4 races and are 10th of the 12 teams. ----- Emma Wilson GBR is clearly in the lead in the women's iQ Foil after 5 races. ----- The iQ-Foil men did not compete due to a lack of participation. ----- All rankings and the Facebook page.
