Optimist - World Championship 2017 - Pattaya THA - Day 6 - No wind

The 281 participants of the Optimist Worlds in Thailand waited in vain for the breeze yesterday. After a thunderstorm at noon, the wind disappeared and racing had to be cancelled. Here the news.
The IODA (Class Association) Annual Meeting voted in favour of Antigua as venue for the 2019 World Championship. The 2019 European Championship will be in Crozon-Morgat FRA. Last year, the Worlds and Europeans 2018 were allotted to Cyprus (Famagusta) and the Netherlands (Scheveningen).
