470 - Junior World Championship 2018 - Lago di Bracciano ITA - Day 1, the Swiss

The 470 Junior Worlds on Lake Bracciano (Rome) began yesterday in moderate 11kn winds, but after one race, the boats had do go ashore as a thunderstorm was approaching.
In the 470 female juniors, Theres Dahnke/Birte Winkel GER were the winners ahead of Madleine Rice/ Laura Slovensky USA and Benedetta di Salle/Alessandra Dubbini ITA.
In the male juniors, Daniel Göttlich/Linus Klasen GER and Hippolyte Machetti/Sidoine Dantes FRA were the winners in their groups. On rank 3 followed Thomas Ponthieu/Eliott Michal FRA and Wiley Rogers/Jack Parkin USA. Yves Mermod/Cyril Schüpbach SUI, the only Swiss team present, had an excellent start with rank 4 in their group and rank 7 overall.
