Optimist - World Championship 2018 - Limassol CYP - Start today, the Swiss

The 2018 Optimist World Championship begins on Cyprus today with the first races. 264 participants from 56 nations and 5 continents are on the entry list - as always one of the most international event in the entire family of international (and Olympic) sports.
Switzerland is represented by Boris Hirsch, Anja Von Allmen, Sam Nokes, Jeanlou Lauber and Maxime Thommen and - with two World Champions in the last 4 year - the Swiss Team has high ambitions again - a difficult goal in the quickly changing environment of fast growing young athletes.
