The Oceanic Championship of the Olympic High-Performance Classes began yesterday in Auckland, at the same time a tune-up regatta to the forthcoming World Championships of early December with top-level fleets racing. In both skiff classes, USA teams had the upper hand. ----- In the 49ers (80 teams), Andrew Mollerus/Ian Macdiarmid USA are first after three races one point ahead of Erwan Fischer/Clément Péquin FRA. Isaac McHardie/William McKenzie NZL are on 3rd. The Olympic Champions Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL, interrupting their AC75 trials, are on rank 7. ----- Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI did not compete. ----- In the 49ersFX (49 teams), Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA won two races and lead one point ahead of the Olympic Champions Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA. On rank 3 follow Annemiek Bekkering/Anette Duetz NED. ----- In the Nacras 17, Ben Saxton/Nicole Boniface GBR clinched all 3 races. On the ranks 2 and 3 follow Riley Gibbs/Anna Weis USA and Sinem Kurtbay/Akseli Keskinen FIN. ----- The news with links to all ranking lists..
