Kieler Woche 2022 - Part 2 - Kiel GER - Day 4

There were only light winds yesterday at the end of the qualifications for today's Medal Races. The Foiler classes (Kite, iQ-Windsurf, Nacra 17) were not in action. In the Mixed 470, Malte and Anastasiya Winkel GER took the lead with two race wins. Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI managed to hold on to 5th place, they are only 5 points off the podium in the Medal Race today. As the second best team of the day (2/5) Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach moved up to rank 13, but missed the Medal Race by 11 points. In the 49er, Peters/Steritt GBR go into the Medal Race with a 4-point lead over Rask/Precht DEN. Joshua Richner/Nilo Schärer SUI finish the series in 59th place out of 90 teams. In the 49erFX, Sophie Steinlein/Thomas Plössel GER extended their lead over Vilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE to 13 points. In ILCA 7, Valtteri Uusitalo FIN took the lead despite an early start. Wannes Van Laer BEL and Kaarle Tapper FIN are only one and 2 points behind respectively. In the ILCA 6, Mara Stransky AUS goes into the Medal Race with a 14-point lead over Mirthe Akkermann NED. At the Musto Skiff World Championships, the title duel between Robert Richardson GBR and Andy Tarboton RSA, who is 5 points behind, will take place today. Alexander Greil SUI improved to 12th thanks to a 5th place, Pierre-Yves Pfirter SUI is now 18th. All rankings and the daily report.
