Class 40, Ocean Fifty - MedMax - Saïdia MOR - Day 5

Yesterday, after 4 days and 7 hours, Sébastien Rogues/Jean-Baptiste Gellé FRA with their 'Primonial' reached the finish line at the Moroccan holiday resort of Saïdia as winners of the Ocean 50 trimarans. Koesio with Erwan Le Roux FRA/Pablo Santurde ESP came 2nd, 85 minutes behind. 7 of the 9 trimarans have so far reached the finish line. ----- The Class 40 race took a dramatic turn: while the main part of the fleet has come to a standstill off the Spanish coast in total calm since yesterday evening, a trio managed to reach the fresh westerly winds in the south and pull away. With 22 miles to go, Achille Nebout/Gilda Mahé FRA, Mikael Mergui/Corentin Douget FRA and Matteo Serricano/Luca Rosetti ITA are only 3.5 miles apart.
