Optimist - Ora-Cup - Arco ITA - Final results

The Ora Cup for Optimists ended yesterday on Lake Garda with two final regattas, another monster event with 485 participants from 28 nations. ----- Mehmed Budak TUR ensured a Turkish victory with two 6th places. Martino Paone ITA was 8 points behind in 2nd place, while Alexander Forssen SWE, who had previously been in the lead, dropped back to 3rd place. Andrea Vitali SUI was the best Swiss in 23rd place, while Lena Müller SUI (45th place, 11th girls), Téo Filliger SUI (51st place), Mey Adakan SUI (65th place) and Tenma Rösti SUI (71st place) also made it into the gold fleet. ----- The younger Cadetti (U12) completed 6 races. Pietro Lombardi ITA won by a narrow margin of one point ahead of Antoinette Papin FRA. Melisa Adakan SUI on the 9th was the best Swiss of the 72 participants. ----- The rankings and a report at the halfway point of the regatta.
