iQ-Foil - U23 World Championship 2024 - Silvaplana SUI - Day 1

In good Maloja wind conditions, the U23 World Championships of the Olympic iQ Foil windsurfers began yesterday on Lake Silvaplana. Four slaloms were sailed in each group. ----- With three race wins each in their groups, Finn Hawkings GBR, Max Castelein NED, Manolo Modena ITA and Jost Vink NED jointly lead the men's classification. Robin Teley SUI follows in 41st place, Devin Hauser SUI is 48th. Sebastien Schärer SUI showed an exceptional series: with the ranks bfd/dnc/1/bfd he is in 86th place of the 101 participants. ----- Daniela Peleg ISR won 3 races in the women's event and leads by 2 points from Maya Gisler NOR and Lola Sorin FRA.
