Nacra 17 - European Championship 2024 - Sferracavallo ITA

The European Championship of the Olympic Nacra 17 catamarans begins today in Sferracavallo (Sicily, near Palermo). At the start are 20 teams from 13 nations, with multiple Junior World Champions Gian-Luigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilai ITA, who won the Youth and Womens America's Cup with 'Luna Rossa' two weeks ago, as favorites. Also, fresh from the Womens America's Cup is Willemijn Offermann NED (with Scipio Houtman NED). Switzerland is represented by two newcomer teams: Marie Mazuay/Clément Guinard SUI and Andrea Aschieri/Tine Rossel SUI, both converts from the Nacra 15.
