With the wind and sea state on Biscayne Bay failing to moderate during the day - winds averaging nearly 30 miles per hour, with gusts close to 40 - sailing was cancelled for the day. The Qualification Series for the Skiffs, Nacra 17 catamarans and windsurfers in view of the Medal Races of today are herewith concluded. The other 5 classes will sail the final Qualification heats today to select the 10 best per class for tomorrow's Medal Races.
In the Nacra 17, Jason Waterhouse/Lisa Darmanin AUS are the premature winners with a 19 points' lead. In all other classes, the outcome is fully open.
