49er & 49erFX - European Championship 2018 - Gdynia POL - Day 5

Grey skies and rain marked the 5th day of the European Championships of the Olympic Skiffs. The 49ers were able to sail one race whilst the 49erFX remained ashore all day. The day's victory in the Goldfleet of the 49er went to Lucas Rual / Emile Amoros FRA, who moved up to rank 7 overall. Lukasz Przybytek / Pawel Kolodzinski POL are still in the lead, 4 points ahead of Diego Botin / Iago Lopez ESP who are still in with a shout for the title in today's final races. Already 9 points behind are the defending champions Dylan Fletcher / Stuart Bithell GBR. Justus Böhme and Max Schmidt GER are one point behind in fourth place. In the 49erFX, Carla and Marta Munte ESP remain 8 points ahead of Helene Naess / Marie Ronningen NOR. Sophie Weguelin / Sophie Ainsworth GBR are a further point back in 3 rd, with an excellent chance to win a medal today.
