All 10 classes sailed the full program yesterday in a moderate Palma seabreeze.
Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP, already winners of the Miami Worldcup in January, extended their lead in the 470 men on 4 points. The day's best (3/3) Bargehr/Mähr AUT moved up on rank 2, followed by Okada/Hokazono JPN and Dahlberg/Bergström SWE on 3rd/4th at equal points. In the 470 women, Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA have taken the lead 7 points ahead of Berta/Caruso ITA and Mills/McIntyre GBR tied on the ranks 2 and 3.
The 49ers sailed their first three races and Kurt Hansen/Simon Hoffmann AUS are on top one point ahead of Fletcher/Bithell GBR and Buksak/Wierzbicki POL. In the 49ersFX, the experienced teams are in front with Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL one point ahead of Dobson/Tidey GBR and Grael/Kunze BRA.
In the Finns, Andrew Maloney NZL won both heats of his group and extended his overall lead on 6 points. Giles Scott GBR and Josh Junior NZL are the first challengers.
In the Nacras 17, the favorites Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA are now on top closely followed by Gemma Jones/Jason Saunders NZL and Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER.
The RS:X windsurfers sailed their first three races yesterday with the trio Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI, Michael Cheng CHN and Makoto Tomizawa JPN leading in the men's category at equal points. Same situation in the RS:X women with the Asian trio Jie Du CHN, Yue Tan CHN and Siripon Kaewduangngam THA on top.
