420 - World Championship 2019 - Vilamoura POR - Day 3

The Qualifications for the Gold- and Silverfleets were concluded yesterday in Portugal in fresh winds arouns 20kn.
The defending champions Seb Menzies/Blake McGlashan NZL remained on top of the 420 men, 4 points ahead of Mason Mulcahy/Andre Van Dam NZL on rank 2. With two race wins, the two-times 470 Olympian and 420 World Champion 2003 (!) Onan Barreios ESP sailing with Ana Santana ESP advanced on rank 3.
In the 420 women, Vita Heathcote/Milly Boyle GBR took the lead 4 points ahead of Marina Garau/Blanca Cabot ESP. With two race wins, Irene Calici/Petra Gregori ITA moved up on rank 3.
In the U17-rankings, Odysseas Spanakis/Konstaninos Michalopoulos GRE defended the first place with two race wins, closely followed by Ange Delerce/Timothee Rossi FRA only two points behind. New on rank 3 are Florian Krauss/Jannis Suemmchen GER.
