Good sailing conditions with an up to 15kn breeze prevailed yesterday in Japan, but the challenging courses tactically difficult and some surprises occurred. ----- In the 470 men, Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS extended their lead on 5 points. ----- In the 470 women, Ai Kondo/Miho Yoshioka JPN have taken the lead. ----- As best of the day, Beresz Zsombor HUN moved up on first in the Finns. Finishing 3/2/2, Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL were the best in the 49ers. ----- In the 49ersFX, Charlotte Dobson/Sakia Tidey GBR increased their point advantage. 4 races were held by the Nacras 17 with Rugero Tia/Caterina Banti ITA on 1st controlling the fleet. ----- Yunxiu Lu CHN has now an 11 point lead in the RS:X women. ----- Chinese lead in the RS:X mden as well with Mengfan Gao CHN on top. ----- See separate news text below for the Lasers. ----- All ranking lists and the daily news.
