Optimist - World Championship 2021 - Riva ITA - Final results - Gold for Alex Di Francesco BRA and Lomane Valade FRA

The 2021 Optimist World Championships ended with two races on Lake Garda yesterday. ----- Despite two mediocre results (31/15), Alex Di Francesco BRA won the first world championship title for Brazil, as his direct challenger Gil Hackel USA had an even worse day yesterday with the ranks 63 and 12, and got defeated by 5 points at the end of the day. Bronze went to the local hero from Riva: Alex Demurtas ITA. ----- The women's title went to Lomane Valade FRA in 7th place.
