420 - World Championship 2022 - Alsoörs HUN - Final results

In mostly light to moderate conditions, the 420 World Championship was sailed this week on Lake Balaton. ----- After 5 qualifying and 5 final regattas, all Open medals went to Spain ! Fernando and Carlos Flethes ESP won ahead of Sebastian Riquelme/Miguel Perez ESP and Ian Walker/Finn Dicke ESP. Theo Elbel/Liam Kuster SUI were the best of the three Swiss teams to finish 10th in the Silverfleet (=48 overall), with 110 teams from 20 nations competing. ----- In the fleet of 56 women's teams, Solène and Antea Mariani FRA won with 10 points ahead of Maria Perello/Marta Cardona ESP. Bronze went to Beeke and Siri Segger GER. ----- In the U17 ranking, both titles went to Germany! Severin Gericke/Xaver Schwarz GER won superiorly, and Valentina Steinlein/Lea Adolph GER were 3rd and best women's team. Nino and Camillo Löfteröd SUI finished as good 13th of the 73 teams. ----- All rankings and the final report.
