iQ-Foil World Championships 2025 - Aarhus DEN - Day one

Yesterday, Sunday, July 6, 2025, the first four races of the iQ-Foil World Championship were held. The program includes the Open Series, consisting of the disciplines Course Racing, Sprint Racing, and Marathon, as well as the Medal Series, which will continue until next Friday. (See NoR/SI, 13. Schedule, for format details). ----- Representing Switzerland are Elena Sandera ZYC in the women, and Elia Colombo CVLL and Sebastian Schärer WSCS are competing in the men's event. ----- After the first day, Luuc Van Opzeeland NED is one point ahead of Kiran Badloe NED in the iQ-Foil men category (select "men" button), and two points ahead of Tom Arnoux FRA and Yun Pouliquen FRA, who are tied on points. The Swiss Elia Colombo SUI/CVLL and Sebastian Schärer SUI/WCSC are in 16th and 55th place. ---- - In the iQ-Foil women, (select "women" button), Marta Maggetti ITA leads by 2 points ahead of Sharon Kantor ISR and Tamar Steinberg ISR, who are tied on points.
