470 - World Championship 2017 - Thessaloniki GRE - Day 3 - the Swiss, excellent Fahrni/Siegenthaler TYC

 470 - World Championship 2017 - Thessaloniki GRE - Day 3 - the Swiss, excellent Fahrni/Siegenthaler TYC Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI won the first two Final Races of the 470 women yesterday and as team of the day, they really controlled racing tactically. After a flopped first start, they came back strongly playing the shifts, while in the second race, they were leading from start to finish. Now up on rank 5 overall with a 15 points' backlog on race one, their chances to win the title are real, especially if the wind conditions remain.
In the 470 men, Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI finished on the ranks 1 and 3 in the Silverfleet and are herewith on rank 2 (= rank 38 overall).

 Match Racing - Womens International Match Racing - Busan KOR - Day 4 Yesterday, the Quarter and Semi Finals were sailed in Korea, ant today, the Finals are already underway. Claire Leroy FRA leads in the race for rank 3 against Anna Östling SWE with 1-0. Lucy McGregor GBR and Katie Spithill AUS will meet in the Final. All four skippers have been engaged in the former Olympic matchrace circuit until 2012 on Yngling resp. Elliot keelboats, and clearly demonstrated their superior skills coming back to women's matchracing here in Korea after some years off.

 Match Racing - Womens International Match Racing - Busan KOR - Day 3 The Round Robin at the WIM in Korea was concluded yesterday in more wind as on the previous days. Claire Leroy FRA in her comeback to matchracing is on top with an 8-2 score ahead of Lucy McGregor GBR, Trine Palludan DEN and Anna Östling SWE with 7-3 each. Two Quarter Finals have already been sailed this morning. Anna Östling eliminated Stephanie Roble USA with 3-1, Trine Palludan DEN was defeated by Katie Spithill AUS with 2-3.  Match Racing - Womens International Match Racing - Pusan KOR - Day 2 Light and variable winds prevailed yester during the Round Robin of the last Act of the WIM-Series in Korea. The surprising leader after the first day, Trine Paludan DEN, lost her first match against Katie Spithill AUS. but she remains on top with a 7-1 score ahead of Katie Spithill AUS (6-2) and - with 4-1 each - Stephanie Roble USA and Lucy McGregor GBR on the ranks 3 and 4.

Leader after 13 flights is Stephanie Roble USA with a 10-1 score ahead of Anna Östling SWE (9-2). Renée Groenveld NED and Anne-Claire Le Berre FRA follow with 8-3 each on rank 3.
