The starting position is exciting, but nobody has a medal for sure yet: Despite yesterday's mediocre results, Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP are leading the 49ers. Robert Dickson/Sean Waddilove ITL are 6 points behind in 2nd place, with Isaac McHardie/William McKenzie NZL a further 4 points behind in 3rd place. In 8th place, 15 points behind 3rd place, Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI only have a theoretical chance of making the podium.
