Meanwhile, all kite-foiler races scheduled for today have been cancelled. The Medal Races of the 470s (with Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI) and the Nacra 17 catamarans are still on hold. We will stay tuned.
After yesterday's debacle in the Formula Kite Women - half of the fleet got stuck in a wind hole on one side of the start line and missed the start! - the jury rejected a protest from those affected yesterday evening. Elena Lengweiler SUI, who was compensated with average points for her collision and abandonment in race 4 through no fault of her own, was penalised twice. With her DNS yesterday, this average score also increased by 12.75 points. Otherwise she would still be in 3rd place, just behind the leading duo. Unfortunately, the Swiss delegation has not yet lodged a protest against this injustice. The rankings.
