Optimist - World Championship 2025 - Portoroz SLO - Final Day

Nikolaos Pappas (GRE) and Olha Lubianska (UKR) crowned Optimist World Champions 2025. Mihael Zobec (SLO) finished second overall, claiming the title of World Vice-Champion, while Carl Wincent Birgersson (DEN) took the Bronze. ----- On the girls' podium behind the winner Olha Lubianska (UKR), Silver went to Ines Amaia Mendez Larminaux (PUR), and Bronze to Margaux Nguyen-Minh (HKG). ----- On the final day of the Optimist World Championship in Portorož, sailors completed one last race for all fleets in a light northeast breeze.
----- Tim Baile remains the best Swiss sailor in 48th place. Top sailors from major English-speaking nations are Matteo Barker NZL 10th, Pablo Munoz Montes USA 16th, William Keilty CAN 23rd, Charles Holland GBR 36th, Walter Heeley AUS 37th, and Maeve Donagh IRL 105th.
