The 2024 Olympic Games began yesterday evening with the opening ceremony in Paris, with numerous sailors in action as flag bearers - the report. The first regattas are scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, with light winds of around 10 knots forecast. The iQ-Foil women windsurfers will be the first to start at 12.15 tomorrow, and it remains to be seen who will cope best with the light winds. At 13.15h it will be the turn of the iQ foil windsurfers, including Elia Colombo SUI. At 15.35h the 49erFX starts - it remains to be seen whether Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA can win their 3rd gold medal in a row. 10 minutes later, the 49er will start. They include Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI, who are among the great Swiss hopes after winning two silver medals at the last World Championships.
