49er - Olympic Games 2024 - Marseille FRA - Day 1

Light, inconsistent winds made for a difficult start day at the Olympic Games, with only the skiffs able to finish 3 races each. The light wind specialists knew how to put themselves in the limelight while others suffered a difficult start day. ----- Only three teams could finish in the top ten three times. First and foremost Isaac McHardie/William McKenzie NZL, who took the lead with 1st and 3rd place. Robert Dickson/Sean Waddilove IRL follow one point behind. And Hernan Umpierre/Fernando Diz URU are also closely behind in 3rd place. Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI started strongly with a 2nd place in the first race, but 9th and 11th places dropped them back to 9th place, 4 points behind the podium. ----- The ranking list and the daily report.
