With the third race of the day for the ILCA 6, the second and third races of the Nacras and the two races of the 470s, the first strong wind day of the Olympic Games came to an end. Keiju Okada/Miho Yoshioka JPN maintained their lead in the 470 with 2nd and 6th place. Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr AUT (today 1/3) moved up to 2nd place, 4 points behind. Just one point behind them are Anton Dahlberg/Lovisa Karlsson SWE. Simon Diesch/Anna Markfort GER are now 7th, while Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI (14/16) raced less well, dropping back to 14th place. In the Nacra 17, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA lived up to their role as favourites by finishing 1/1/3 on the first day. Mateo Majdalani/Eugenia Bosco ARG and Sinem Kurtbay/Akseli Keskinen FIN are the first chasers. In the ILCA 6, Josefin Olsson SWE won the last race of the day (the 6th overall). Marit Bouwmeester NED remains in the lead in the overall standings with a 16-point advantage. Anne-Marie Rindom DEN is in 2nd place, 11 points ahead of Hanna Snellgrove GBR. Maud Jayet SUI struggled with the windy conditions, but is still well in the race in 5th place. All rankings.
