Meanwhile, the ILCA 6 have also completed their first race of the day. Difficult light wind conditions brought new names to the front, the previous leaders had to suffer: Maria Erdi HUN took the race win, leader Marit Bouwmeester NED booked a 15th place, her lead shrinking to 21 points...which would still leave her with gold after today's 2nd race. Anne-Marie Rindom DEN came in 4th, coping well with the conditions and established herself in 2nd place with a 20 point lead over Line Flem-Höst NOR. Maud Jayet SUI didn't get going either, her 22nd place is her strike result. In 5th place overall, she is now 5 points behind 3rd place. The last qualifying race remains. There was also a new winner in the Nacra 17: Tim Mourniac/Lou Barthomieu FRA moved up to 5th place thanks to their victory. Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA, on the other hand, booked their discard with 6th place, but continue to lead the overall standings with a 13-point lead over Micah Wilkinson/Erica Dawson NZL.
