18-Footer - JJ Giltinan Trophy - Sydney AUS - Races 5 & 6

Light winds between 5 and 8 knots prevailed this morning on Sydney Harbour for races 5 & 6 of the 18-Footer World Championship. ----- New teams made their mark, with the day's wins going to 'SMEG' and 'Rag & Famish'. After 4 race wins, 'Yandoo' (Tom Needham AUS) had to settle for 7th and 9th place today, but still leads the standings. 'Finport' (Keagan York AUS) closed the gap to 4 points. The two New Zealand teams ('C-Tech' and 'ACSS') fared less well and the strong wind specialists from 'Black Knight' (Heinrich von Bayern GER) also dropped back in the overall standings. ----- The current ranking should be published on the event website soon.
