Westwind conditions prevailed also on the second day of the Mini Transat on Bay of Biscay and the fleet is advancing rather slowly with 5-6 kn. Consequently, the distances between the boats remained minor up to now.
Leader in the Protos is Erwan Le Mené FRA who was the first to tack West. Romain Bolzinger FRA followed as 2nd with a 1,7 nm backlog yesterday evening at 21h and on rank 3 is 2,4 nm behind. Simon Koster SUI was one of the last to head West and he dropped on rank 16 with a 9,5 nm backlog in the South of the fleet.
The 50 boats' Series Mini fleet is being led by Erwan Le Draolec FRA ahead of Rémi Aubrun FRA 0,7 nm and Valentin Gautier SUI 2,1 nm behind. The second Swiss Yann Burkhalter SUI on rank 12 with a 4 nm deficit is also well positioned.
