Olympic & Youth Classes - Sail Sydney - Sydney AUS - Day 3

Last Monday, "Sail Sydney", the first of the 2018/9 Olympic and Youth Classes Regattas downunder, was kicked off with the Olympic events. The Youth competition will begin on Friday. Today's - Thursday - races have already been almost completed.
In the good-quality 470 men fleet, Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP and Daichi Takayama/Kimihiko Imamura JPN lead at equal points after 6 races. The Olympia Champions Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS follow on rank 3. Only four 470 women's teams participate with Nia Jerwood/Monique Devries AUS winning 5 of the 6 races, followed by Frederike Löwe/Anna Markfort GER.
In the 49ers, David and Lach Gilmour AUS are the clear leaders. In the 49ersFX, Tess Lloyd/Jamie Ryan AUS are dominting. Stephanie Roble/Margaret Shea USA, best non-Australians, are on the 4th place.
First in the Finns is Nicholas Heiner NED 2 points ahead of Josh Junior NZL. Ed Wright GBR another 2 points back on rank 3.
The Lasers sailed only 4 races so far with Matthew Wearn AUS on top ahead of Sam Meech NZL and Lorenzo Chiavarini GBR..
In the Nacras 17, the experienced Jason Waterhouse/Lisa Darmanin AUS and Gemma Jones/Jason Saunders NZL occupy the first places.
