The 16-year-old Maximilian Maeder is Singapore's big Olympic hope. This year he has already won the Palma World Cup and the European Championship title. Son of a Chinese mother and a Swiss father, he speaks fluent Chinese, English and German. He started his kiteboarding career at the age of 10 and took part in his first professional competitions at 11 ! A year ago, he gave an interview to Singapore Straits TV.
