Shifty and gusty westerly offshore winds and torrential rain and reduced visibility prevailed again on day three of the Youth Sailing Worlds on Dublin Bay. All classes sailed another two races before the lay day today and three days of competition to go. Results remains closest among the 420-Girls' leaders where, after they sailed "a blinder", scoring two bullets today, Australia's Smith/Clark are now tied on 20 points with yesterday's leaders, Vose/Urwin (GBR), in turn two points ahead of Italy's Paternoster/Disalle. In the 420-Boys, Guillaume Pirouelle/Valentin Sipan FRA could extend their lead on 8 points, and Goedhart/Van Steckelenborg NED are as solid on rank 2. Charles/Charles ESP follow on the 3rd place. The defending champions Carlos Robles/Florian Trittel ESP in the 29ers remained on top, but the first persuers Rual/Biton FRA are now only one point behind. The new 3rd are Lange/Majdalani ARG.
