Offshore - TransPac 2025, Los Angeles - Honolulu, Winner 'Lucky'

The traditional Transpacific Race from Los Angeles, California to Honolulu, Hawaii, set off in three waves last week. Last Friday, 'Lucky', an 88-foot Juan K-designed yacht owned by Bryon Ehrhart, crossed the finish line in first. TP52 - Super Series St-Tropez Sailing Week - St-Tropez FRA

Light winds plagued the 52 SUPER SERIES 2025 opening event, held April 30-May 4 in Saint-Tropez, France. ----- After no racing on three of the five days, reigning World Champion Tony Langley and his 'Gladiator team' won by a point in the four-race series. Takashi Okura’s 'Sled', the 2021 world and circuit champions, were runner-up while Doug DeVos with his 'American Magic Quantum Racing' crew took third overall, winning the final race. ----- The results .

The fleet of 15 two-person teams has now crossed half of the Atlantic, with the leaders Alexis Thomas/Pauline Courtois FRA still 644 miles from the finish in St. Barthélmy in the Caribbean this morning, just 0.2 miles ahead of Charlotte Yven/Hugo Dhalenne FRA Anaëllle Pattusch SUI/Hugo Cardon FRA in 11th place, 100 miles behind. the race tracker and the reports.

In the middle of the Atlantic, the fleet is making good progress with daily distances of around 300 miles. The gaps are small, and the first 10 are only 40 miles apart. Alexis Thomas/Pauline Courtois FRA are now in the lead with a 4-mile advantage over Charlotte Yven/Hugo Dhalenne FRA. Today sees the start of the Figaro 3 class Transat in Concarneau, the only transatlantic regatta for one-design yachts. At the start are 19 mixed two-person teams from 4 nations. Mini 580 - Mini Globe Race - Leg 2 - Day 20

 Mini 580 - Mini Globe Race - Leg 2 - Day 20 The fleet of 15 Mini 580s has now been sailing in the Pacific towards Fidji for 20 days. Along the equator in the Doldrums, the fleet has been making slow progress for a long time. Now, in the southerly trade winds, the 5.80-long Minis are reaching 24-hour distances of up to 155 miles ! Renaud Stitelmann SUI, already the winner of the first leg, has once again pulled away at the front with a lead of 110 miles. A third of the 6,500-mile leg has now been completed. Mini 650 - Plastimo Mini - Lorient FRA - Final results

After a fast race in ideal conditions, the fleet of the 72 Minis reached the finish line on Friday evening. After 24 hours 33 minutes, Caroline Boule/Benoît Marie FRA with their foiling Proto ‘Nicomatic’ had a 2 hour lead over Alexandre Demange/Thaïs Le Cam FRA - the leaderboard of the Protos. The best series mini was Paul Cousin/Marie Zugolaro FRA in 6th place, while Alicia Pfyffer/Damien Cloarec SUI were the best of the 3 SUI teams in 8th place in the fleet of the 48 series minis - the ranking list series mini.

The start of the Plastimo Mini, the season opener for the Mini class, took place yesterday in Lorient. There were 48 mixed teams at the start.  Mini 580 - Mini Globe Race - Panama - Leg 2 - Start today After crossing Panama by land, the fleet of 15 Mini 580s is now ready for the second leg, which will take them over 6,000 miles to Fiji. Stops in Tahiti and Tonga are permitted along the way to pick up provisions. Round-the-world in a 4m boat

In mid-June, Yann Quenet FRA set off on his second circumnavigation of the world in his 4-metre self-built yacht! In the meantime, he has arrived in the Caribbean, where he will spend the winter before sailing along the North American coast to the mouth of the Labrador, before travelling overland to Vancouver CAN in the Pacific. Mini 580 - Mini Globe Race - Panama - Leg 1

Meanwhile, 14 of the 15 participants reached the finish of the first stage in Panama. Only Gary Swindail AUS, who started late, is still underway with 250 miles to go. Christian Sauer GER finished 6th. The Minis will now be transported by road to the Pacific coast...they are too small to use the canal. The start of the second leg along the equator to Fidji is on 23 March.  IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2024 - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Final Day Today at around 9am Denis Van Weynbergh BEL will be the last participant to reach the finish in Les Sables d'Olonne...but now out of competition after the time limit expired yesterday. All around there is a lack of understanding for this arbitrarily set limit (it corresponds to the finishing time of Ari Hussela FIN, who finished last 4 years ago), it remains to be seen whether the last word has already been spoken. The 116 days and 18 hours correspond to the final time of Ari Huusela FIN, who finished last 4 years ago. ----- Denis Van Weynbergh BEL, the last remaining competitor in the race, will not make it tomorrow. He was still 300 miles short of the finish line this morning. Yesterday he barely made any progress with his damaged Open 60, and the Bay of Biscay is also very calm. IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2024 - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 114

32nd place for Fabrice Amedeo FRA (Nexans-Wewise). He reached the finish line in Les Sables d'Olonne yesterday morning in light winds. Amedeo is the only skipper to have completed the round-the-world race using only renewable energies (solar, wind and hydro generators). Tomorrow, Thursday at 8am, the time limit expires and the last remaining competitor, Denis Van Weynbergh BEL, is unlikely to make it to the finish line in time; currently at Cape Finisterre, he still has 378 miles to go. Trophée Jules Verne - Around-the-World-record - Day 2 - SVR Lazartigue stops record attempt

Yesterday, the Ultime Trimaran 'SVR Lazartigue' had to abandon also its fifth record attempt this winter. In stormy conditions at Cape Finisterre with up to 50 knots, a foil's locking mechanism broke, so François Gabart FRA and his team are already on their way home again.
