'Australia' won this crucial race against 'Japan' that had to compete without navigation electronics. Team USA of Rome Kirby USA finished on rank 4 among the 6 teams racing.  AC50-Catamaran - Sail GP, Act 2 - San Francisco CA, USA - Day 1 - Japan flawless leader, USA on 4th 'Team Japan' with Nathan Outteridge AUS, dominators of the trainings, won all three races on day one of the San Francisco SailGP event, the second round of this competition after Sydney in February. On the ranks 2 and 3 follow 'Australia' with Tom Slingsby AUS and 'Great Britain with Dylan Fletcher GBR. The young USA Team with Rome Kirby USA is on rank 4.  AC-50-Catamaran - Sail GP - San Francisco CA, USA - Start today, Team Japan the fastest in trainings Round 2 of the AC50 Sail GP will take place today and tomorrow on San Francisco Bay in the notorious fresh wind and tide conditions of the venue. The training sessions yesterday really challenged the 6 teams compared with the accommodating sailing in Round 1 on Sydney Harbour a few weeks ago. We reported yesterday on the clear victory of 'Team Australia' of Tom Slingsby AUS over 'Team Japan' of Nathan Outteridge AUS winning not only the final crucial matchrace of the inaugural F50 SailGP event on Sydney Harbour, but also four of the five fleetraces.  F50-Catamaran - Sail GP, Act 1 - Sydney AUS - Day 2 Two races - both won by Team Australia of Tom Slingsby AUS and a Matchrace Final were held this morning UTC on Sydney Harbour and the Australians as clear winners, leading the overall SailGP rankings after the first Act of the Series 3 points ahead of Team Japan of Nathan Outteridge AUS. The rest of the fleet is 9 points and more behind rank 2 with Team Great Britain on 3rd.

F50-Catamaran - SailGP, Act I - Sydney AUS - Day 1

 F50-Catamaran - SailGP, Act I - Sydney AUS - Day 1 The inaugural SailGP event on the former America's Cup catamarans transferred in One-Design Foiling F50 multihulls was held this morning UTC on Sydney Harbour.
Winners of the three races were Team Japan with Nathan Outteridge AUS and twice Team Australia with Tom Slingsby AUS. The Japanese are the interim's leaders after the first day one point ahead of Team Australia who had a bad first race (4th). Three more races will take place tomorrow morning that can be followed live on our website.

 America's Cup News - Next Cup whithout Alinghi After Team New Zealands victory in the last cup, rumours were going around that Ernesto Bertarelli SUI and his Alinghi will return in the America's Cup. In an interview during the GC32 Worlds on Lake Garda Ernesto Bertarelli renounced a future paricipation. The foiling monhulls will reduce the number of participants, it will a Cup for the constructors and not the sailors. If Team New zealand would have continued on multihulls, Alinghi would have been present in Auckland. The report.

 America's Cup - Britain gets rebranded INEOS, a UK company headquartered in Rolle/Lake Geneva SUI since 2010, has formed 'INEOS Team GB' and is making the biggest ever British investment in the America’s Cup in an unprecedented effort to bring the trophy back to Britain for the first time since the competition was established in 1851. 'INEOS Team GB' has teamed up with Sir Ben Ainslie replacing 'Landrover' as title sponsor, who will continue to lead the design and build boat programme and skipper the racing yacht, challenging the current holder 'Emirates Team New Zealand' on behalf of Royal Yacht Squadron Racing. INEOS is committed to spending £110 million, as Jim Ratcliffe, INEOS founder and chairman confirmed.
