 Laser Standard & Radial - Master European Championship - Roses ESP - Day 1, with 254 entrants from 3 continents, incl USA and CAN participants The Laser European Masters were kicked off yesterday with two races held in a moderate 8 to 14kn seabreeze with the 254 boat fleet split as usual in age groups. ----- In the Lasers Radial (Masters, Great Grand Masters, Legends), Ian Jones GBR is leading ahead of Monica Azon ESP and François Claeijs NED. In a second Radial group (Apprentices and Grand Masters), Jon Emmett GBR is first ahead of Alan Clark CAN and Michiel Pals NED. In the Lasers Standard, Jordi Capella ESP won both races in the 'younger' group (Apprentices, Masters) with Alessandro Sartorelli ITA and Ray Davies CAN as first persuers.  Figaro 3 - La Solitaire - Baie de Morlaix FRA - Leg 3 - Day 1, slow start with the leading trio within 0,2nm Yesterday, 46 of the originally 47 solo skippers started on Morlaix Bay in Northern Brittany FRA to leg 3 of the Figaro 3 Solitaire over 450nm to the English South Coast and back. The light winds and the strong tide current make the course very challenging. ----- This morning UTC, the fleet was still very close together with Gildas Mahé FRA leading 0,1nm ahead of Pierre Leboucher FRA, and another 0,1nm back Adrien Hardy FRA on 3rd.  IRC, ORC, PHRF, one-design classes - 165th New York YC Annual Regatta with 143 yachts racing Over the past weekend, the 165th New York YC Annual Regatta was held with the Round-the-Island Race on Friday and the the Two-Day Series on Saturday and Sunday. ----- Split in 16 IRC, ORC, PHRF and one-design classes, as well as classic yachts and multihulls, 143 yachts in total participated in this traditional event, among them the 12m, the NYYC-initated Melges IC37, Swans, the M32 Multihulls.  Classes ACVL - Bol d'Or du Léman - SN Genève - Final results, Yann Guichard FRA line honors After a slow race, the announced thunderstorm front with gusts of over 50kn reached Lake Geneva after 17h causing casualties and capsizes during half an hour. After 10hrs 36min, the Décision-35 'Spindrift-Ladycat' with Yann Guichard FRA/SNG crossed the finish line as first ahead of 'Yilliam' with Bertrand De Mole SNG and 'Alinghi' with Ernesto Bertarelli SNG a few minutes later. The first monohull, the Libera 'Raffica' of Zsolt Kiraly HUN, arrived as 14th, closely followed by François Bopp CNP with his Psaros 40. ----- The ranking lists and the news.

While the men sailed their eliminations to qualify for the last eight in the Gran Canaria Freestyle Semi Finals, the women held their Finals in perfect conditions. Finn - World Masters - Skovshoved DEN - Final results, Krutskikh RUS undefeated Champion, Sprague USA 17th, Mess CAN 31st

 Finn - World Masters - Skovshoved DEN - Final results, Krutskikh RUS undefeated Champion, Sprague USA 17th, Mess CAN 31st The Finn World Masters in Denmark were concluded yesterday with two races held in moderate winds. Vladimir Krutskikh RUS went on with his winning streak (7 bullets in 7 races) and earned his third Masters title. Michael Maier CZE and Laurent Hay FRA completed the podium. At equal points on the ranks 4 and 5 followed Anthony Nossiter AUS and Christoph Christen SUI. Henry Sprague III USA sailed his worst result of the series and dropped on the still excellent 17th place. Derek Mess CAN on 31st and Michael Mark USA as 88th are another two North Americans in the top-100 among the 240 participants. ----- The results and the official report.

 Dragon - Goldcup 2019 - Medemblik NED - Final results, Andrade POR and his team winners Light and circling winds inhibited racing on the last day of the Dragon Gold Cup 2019 on the Ijsselmeer NED and Pedro Andrade/Christian Giannini/Joao Vidinha POR earned the Trophy 10 points ahead of Pieter Heerema NED and his team.  Classes ACVL - Bol d'Or du Léman - SN Genève - Start today at 9 a.m. UTC with 482 boats 482 teams are on the entry list of the 81st Bol d'Or on Lake Geneva departing at 9h UTC this morning, an event with many famous names on the list of winners such as Dennis Connor USA and Russell Coutts NZL. The weather forecast predicts rain and variable winds between 0 and 4 bft. ----- Once more, the D35 catamarans are the favorites for the line honours, In the monohulls, the Psaros 40 will be challenged by the two Liberas 'Principessa' ITA and 'Raffica' HUN. Special interest goes to Eric Monnin steering the 'Monofoil Gonet'. Will the winds be appropriate to keep the foiler flying?  Finn - World Masters 2019 - Skovshoved DEN - Day 5,  Krutskikh RUS undefeated leader, Sprague USA excellent 11th The performance of Vladimir Krutskikh RUS remained flawless winning both races in his group yesterday in Denmark in sun and a 12-14kn wind. On rank 2 with a 5 point backlog followed Michael Maier CZE. Finishing 2nd and 3rd, Christoph Christen SUI moved up on rank 3 overall with a 9 point deficit on the leader. The record was not beaten, as a lull patch in the approach to Monaco decelerated the fast pace. Meanhwhile, all 179 participants remaining in the race reached Monaco.  Lightning - 2019 European Championship / Masters Championship - Espoo FIN - Final results - Americans dominate The defending World Champion Javier Conte ARG and his team finished first at the Lightning European Championship in Finland ahead of five North Americans with Todd Wake USA on 2nd and Bill Mauk USA on 3rd. ----- Ched Proctor (USA) and his team won the World Masters Championship followed by Tom Allen USA and Larry MacDonald CAN. In the 5.5m (14 boats), Jürg Menzi SUI and his team took the lead with three top finishes. Kristian Nergaard NOR and Donald Rippert GER are the first challengers.  Figaro 3 - La Solitaire - Baix de Morlaix FRA - Leg 2 - Final results, Hardy FRA winner, Richomme FRA extends overall lead After 2 days and 22 hours, Adrien Hardy FRA crossed the finish line of the Figaro Soltaire leg two in Northern Brittany FRA 5 minutes ahead of the leg one winner Yoann Richomme FRA who extended his overall lead to over 2 hours. Pierre Leboucher FRA and Armel Le Cléac'h FRA followed on the ranks 2 and 3.  IRC - Giraglia-Race - St.Tropez-Monaco - Day 1, Rambler USA takes line honors The line honours at the Giraglia Race went to 'Rambler 88' of George David USA finishing 1h4min ahead of 'Magic Carpet 3' of Owen Jones GBR. 'Caol Ila R' of Scharer GBR on 3rd finished 24min later, all three big IRC-0 yachts. 243 boats started in St-Tropez FRA yesterday by noon to the traditional 159nm race around the Giraglia Rocks off Corsica to Monaco.
