Classes ACVL GeneveRolleGeneve YC Geneve Start tomorrow 13h
Tomorrow at noon this first classic long distance race will start on Lake Léman. Many competitors regard this event as a tune up race to the famous ‘Bol d'Or’ which will celebrate its 80st edition one week later. This year there will be plenty of new foiling constructions on the starting line: On the helm on one of the foiling 'easy-to-fly'-catamarans will be Vendee Globe veteran Jean-Pierre Dick FRA. Also competing are several new foiling monohull constructions from the Quant-boatyard. Among the traditional M2-catamarans 'Medical Network' has been modified and will start to fly on Foils as well. Interesting also to learn how Eric Monnins new foiling monohull Gonet will perform. Unfortunately the wind predictions for tomorrow are light, maybe to light for foiling. 212 Yachts and major Catamarans will be on the starting line. The event website.
