Grey weather and cool temperatures characterized the first day of the 5.5m Alpine Cup on Lake Garda. Three races were sailed in a moderate southerly wind. Peter Morton GBR and his team took the lead with 1/1/3. Bent Wilhelmsen NOR follows in 2nd place, 4 points behind, while Mark Holowesko BAH (with Christoph Burger SUI) is in 4th place thanks to a race win in the last race.
